人民廣場﹑nothing special

老城隍廟﹑)
上海老街﹑)these 3 are together and are crowded with people every day, the temple itself is nothing interesting, very "tourist feel", can skip, but there are stores around selling snacks, if you are interested in those; stores in the Old Street are very "tourist feel" too; Yu Yuan is a garden, actually not bad but with a lot of people inside make things very different, you can consider to go in or not by how crowded it is the day you visit
南京路步行街﹑good to go and do shopping, nice ham and snacks in traditional stores
外灘﹑worth going
東方明珠塔 and an riverside corridor worth walking at night too
淮海路﹑
新天地﹑very expensive area but good to take a look; if you would like to take photos don't go at night
仲有好想坐下香港都無得坐的磁悬浮列车 (憑當天機票可以RMB 40購買票 ... good ka and a lot better and safe than to take a taxi between airport and town

Can share some of my feelings towards the places you planned to go.
also suggest you to go to 上海老站 for lunch, the place is nice as well as food
