請問有冇專業可靠又不會濫收費用的Services Provider 介紹？幫人做web hosting 同埋keep domain.
1/ Bandwidth, which is obvious, right? Does ur website have any video / audio / Form filling content? Consider if you need asynchronous / synchoronous data transfer. What's the extra cost if boosting, long or short term, is requried. That's why tones of websides (say, tickethk) were down when extra ordinary requests were being made. BTW, lots n lots of hosting will tell u theirs was "unlimited bandwidth". If that's the case, stay away from them as there ain't free lunch.
2/ Database. R u allow to create an instance by urself? Or webhosting have to create one on your behalf? What about supporting scrpting languages? Javascript / PHP / Perl?
3/ Reliability. What's their guarantee up time? Over 99% or what? Seriously, acceptable level should be 99.5% or higher whereas 99% is consider NOT reliable at all. Any refund / discount / penalty if hosting was down (proving if it was their fault was another matter).
4/ Disk space. Again, many post themselves as "unlimited disk space". In fact, if yours is merely text base, 20M should be good enough. Thus, if webhosting offering a 100G free space (or 20G or 2G) really didn't mean anything!
... and many many other issues that's u'll need 2 consider.
