見到這POST, 我都有點擔心呀! 我5月時已經BOOK左架啦, 而這HOST我上年都住過, 今次係第二次住. 但自6月時佢間房現在airbnb都仲未幫佢上返架. 我問佢, 佢答Don’t worry we have permission for Airbnb hosting. Definitely we can provide room for you. I have already gotten license.
個BOOKING無取消, 但間房又上返架, 咁有license點解又唔上返架呢? (個host有好多間房出租) 我月出發啦! 我怕到最後airbnb 突然cancel.
The host told me that she got the license with license no. but when I asked her to provide license copy, she said she likely cannot obtain the license in Aug.
She told me I can still continue to stay in her apt even though no license. Of course, I refused her requested and liaised with her to cancel the booking with full payment refund. Luckily, I booked a hotel as backup.

My case only got full payment refund + 10% credit to airbnb account. Airbnb told me that the host can provide license no., therefore, if I cancel the booking, they will not provide double refund to me. I copied the host conversation to Airbnb to proof the host didn't get the license but Airbnb didn't accept the proof.
As I have a group of 8 pxn and I don't want to waste time to liaise with Airbnb, I just got what they offered to me.
