Thinking should we go to Disney land, but ppl said older and less fun than those in HK.
I had a great summer with my 8 year old boy on Paris and Strasbourg for two weeks. for kids, I suggest: (1)Disneyland (there are two parks, many fun games not found in Hong Kong, family package not expensive and no mainland visitors at all!) (2) Paris science museum( http://www.cite-sciences.fr/fr/accueil/), there are two museums, one for young kids and one for big kids. I suggest you buy tickets online first, each section 1.5 hours. really fun if your kids enjoy science. (3) after the science park you can take a boat trip at the st Martin canal, it\'s a two hour trip, you can see how the dams work on this Napoleon age canal. (4) Eiffel tower, if you don\'t to queue up one hour to buy tickets, buy them online three months before your visit, the tickets will quickly sold out.
Actually Paris is not as entertaining as Japan or Singapore to kids but it\'s your plan that makes everyone in your family happy. letting your kids be involved in the planning, ask them to help looking up maps and metro routes are part of traveling experience.
Finally after this trip, i prefer not going to Paris in near future.....we were suffered from "stolen bags" and lost all passports at the 1st hour at North Paris Train station!anyway, very "un forgettable" Xmas eve in 2014!
Meanwhile, Holland and Belgium are much more relax, nice xmas market, less crowd, more comfortable.
Yes, need to go to 2 embassy, cos my children are holding other country passports. But hk immigration department got a 24 hrs hotline, very helpful, and once we arrive China embassy, they already got out info fax from HK immigration dept, smooth to get the immergency travel doc.
