我小朋友十個月開始就同佢講故事，雖然佢好似唔明又撕書，但朋友鼓勵要繼續，可培養閱讀習慣，就這樣堅持，小朋友由15個月開始，便會自己取圖書閱讀，佢亦非常喜歡伴讀，現在兩歲半，每日會自己取十幾本書睇，除纖本外，學校書本佢都非常有興趣，會自己係書包到拿出來看

首先唔好俾仔女接觸手提, PAD住, 佢地習慣左就唔會對睇書有興趣
揀D colorful ge故書書俾佢地睇先, 吸引佢地, 之後慢慢俾佢地睇有故事性ge書, 等佢地追睇落去, 培養睇書興趣

我囝囝2歲，不嬲對書佢都係3分鐘熱度，睇2下就當睇完，佢不嬲都好鐘意車，近排鐘意火車，我就買左本thomas既英文書，反而佢會調反轉頭想我講佢聽同埋主動拎黎睇，所以我覺得都係投其所好⋯

如在撕書階段我會比硬皮書佢睇會襟睇些（當然我會仔都試過睇爛，但我會買些粗身膠紙貼返）但如真的撕破都不會鬧佢因佢對本書充滿好奇已達到我想引發佢對書既興趣目的不過我覺得每個小朋友都會經歷撕書階段過左後又建立到興趣就不會再撕了（因興趣由撕書會轉移到書既吸引內容上）

另外推介你參加書伴我行搞既活動，我之前曾參加佢地教家長伴讀既活動覺得好有得益侷會教家長如何演繹本書去吸引小朋友對圖書的興趣

我個仔之前都好少睇書，最多去poo poo先睇下~~~
咁佢完K1嗰陣老師話佢認唔到中文，所以暑假開始我就同佢晚晚溫字咭，初初好抗拒，宜家變成習慣，仲會自動搵書，每晚瞓前一齊睇，一齊講，仲要係幾攰都要聽咗先瞓~~~

特別係呢排佢好鍾意恐龍，佢會好有心機去睇同去聽~~~

我從屋但唔睇電視開始，佢地周圍只有書，開頭佢地只會揭同睇錢仔，大大下自己認到識既字好開心，我覺得對話式閱讀奶有效

I started reading to my girl from 3 months old. I seldom bought books because they are quite expensive nowadays (especially English books). I just borrowed baby hard cover books from the library. Both English and Chinese (~ 50 - 50). I started with picture books.
She she turned 1+, I took her to the local library and let her choose her books. At this stage she was only interested in pictures and ignored the words but I didn't really push her.
When she turned 3, she started to show more interest in words, then I borrowed books with simple phrases (for easy readers) and taught her basic phonics using cards / easy reader books and how to recognise basic words. She also loved comics so I also introduced some children's comics (simple ones with only x4 squares). She can now recognise some Chinese words and read simple sentences / words from books just by phonics. There are plenty of good Chinese books everywhere. For English books, I particularly like books by Dr. Seuss, Berenstain Bears, Diego/Dora, books by Julia Donaldson (Gruffalo), books by Tracy Moroney (teaches children how to deal with emotions).
These books teach children a lot about morals, values and how to handle emotions, they also expose them to humour and some kinds of creativity. The key is start with anything that your child likes most and slowly broaden the field.

The key is persistence, and I agree limiting her times spent on TV / i-products.
Before age 2, strictly no electronics.
After 2, once a week just limited to watching music videos and short clips only during the weekend about 30 mins each session.
After 3, she is allowed to watch some children's cartoon once or twice a week together with family, or during 'special days' (e.g. traveling on plane, or when we have visitors with children). Pick and choose carefully and make sure there are no commercials (later when my girl's more mature, I'll teach her about commercials).
How much you want to restrict your child depends on your preference and your family's lifestyle, but generally NO TV during MEALS and NO TV before bed time, and NOT LONGER THAN 30 mins per session.

She loves books. Nowadays she will just read by herself and whenever she's free or in the mood. She still needs me to read to her every night before bed.

1) English books yes. Some children's books come with CDs or there is free audio books available. I listened and learned as I went along.

細個時伴讀, 出街都攞幾本書仔, 屋企將啲圖書放係小朋友最"就手"的位置, 將書本擺到無處不在, 當然盡量少俾電子產品, 慢慢就會養成習慣

其實咁細個最好係家長伴讀, 咁樣佢先會有興趣, 因為點讀筆不會好似爸爸媽媽咁, 有感情, 有動感, 會誇張, 培養閱讀興趣不同於認字, 當一件事情有興趣才能持久去做

我一直都不能成功引導小朋友對閱讀有興趣,
只有大囡,二囡的時候由於工作太忙,
回家已是9點/10點, 無法實行晚晚伴讀計劃.
到現在晚晚準時收工,但又唔知點分配時間好,
要跟進倆個的功課,仲要陪練琴.

我3個小朋女程度都唔一樣, 10歲,6歲及歲半 ,
一般我會返到屋企趁倆個未做完功課時先爭取跟細細講下故事書,玩下,
等佢9點左右訓左再跟進倆個大的.
但應該點先可以陪養返大個倆個主動閱讀呢?
休息令願玩iPAD都唔睇書, 已經習慣左,點算?
我不在時細細都被工人竉壞了喜歡在iPAD睇VIDEO.
