Yes, as UK secondary starts with Year 7.
My young one will also be finishing P6 in HK and will join Y8 in the UK this Sep. We confirmed a weekly boarding school for him as we’re targeting a Grammar School and an independent school (day school) in the UK South East. So settled in first and hope the two schools have availibility soon.
