為小朋友(4 years old) 報左summer school (2 weeks only) 佢第一次去美國，平時喺香港讀local kindergarten, 唔多機會講英文。NYC 老師會唔會排擠英文差既小朋友? 我應該先email 同學校講定我小朋友情況？

no, but i m wondering how you apply a summer school if your kid is not living here, because the school here ( even summer school) is very tough to have health report from doctor, the kids should have all shots done. ( some shots may not a mandatory in HK). If your summer school doesn't ask any health report or ask your doctor to fill form, the school may not have license that you have to be careful

Summer school sent me the health record form, it is ok to completed it by HK doctor, then I email back to school.
Actually we are citizen of US, and planning to back to New York or NJ after 3 years.. not sure yet..

Great~~not sure if your summer school will check or not, some must have vision and hearing test.

My boy went to NY Kids Club summer classes at Manhattan last year. It is very expensive but he got more confidence to speak English with other kids and teachers. This coming summer, probably will send him to YMCA nyc(am & pm session)

我小朋友舊年去過，還可以..好多大陸人, 佢哋唔識英文，其他同學仔屋企人也不是native eng speakers, 佢哋英文水平普通，可能未正式上elementary school 關係啩，今年唔去ymca, 打算報其他camp

另外ymca camp 有每日swimming session, 我覺得幾好，由怕浸個頭落水到自己跳落水游1/4 池幾日就做到，幾amazing

比多少少心理準備你，我舊年報grade 1 full day, 我小朋友本身讀is, 入去呢個camp 尤其nyc嗰幾間, 家長心態當日托，送完小朋友導師就趕你走，無觀課包括游泳課，佢哋過對面其他學校食lunch亦唔會比你入去，有field trip 咁，唔係每個campus 有泳池，有d要坐school bus 或行去其他centre 游，另外7-12 歲group 做嘅野差不多，但老師會惡好多，越大嗰班越唔聽話。始終地方細，facility 算舊，大嗰班玩sports 過附近公園..我join做gym membership, 去做gym 先遇到佢地大概上課情況

所以如果住queens, 選d camp 喺long island 會多嘢玩，住city 嘅話，比我會選擇其他大學搞嘅summer camp, 7歲以上好多選擇

我報嗰個普通full day camp 有少少academic, 隔天一次swimming class, 每次30mins，男仔一條泳褲就夠，唔需要上衣，因為佢自己換衫執拾，濕左水上衣難除。唔清楚純sports camp 流程，佢地開班前一兩星期有parents meeting, 你最好出席問曬細節，因camp 開始後，當席導師唔會答你。
