yes, I stock up on Apple brand when it is on sale near CNY, at around $128-138/can.
I add oyster sauce to the soup in the can, slice the abalone to reheat, then thicken the sauce with corn starch. New Zealand, one or 1.5 per can.
I bought "On kay" brand around $268 on sale. They have already stewed the 8 abalones already, so I just have to reheat and thicken the sauce in the can. Of course they taste better than the $138 can, but I only buy that once in a while.
