In fact, these days, anti-virus s/w is pretty much useless. What u need is Internet security s/w and there is no freeware. If u ain't sure the difference between anti-virus and Internet security s/w, probably you definitely need the later one, say, McAfee, Norton, AVG, BitDefender, Comodo, ...
